Welcome to your Christmas Amongst the Trees Session Guide! 🎄
These mini sessions are all about capturing the magic of Christmas amongst the beautiful Christmas trees, creating natural, timeless photographs of your little ones and your family during this special time of year.
There’s no need for perfect poses or forced smiles. Instead, I’ll capture genuine smiles, moments of connection and the excitement of exploring the Christmas trees together.
Your mini session will take place at the Christmas tree farm, surrounded by beautiful trees that make the perfect festive backdrop. I’ll gently guide you into different spots and offer a few simple prompts to help create those natural, relaxed moments.
The aim is to keep the experience fun and enjoyable for everyone, allowing little ones to explore and warm up to the camera at their own pace.

My goal is to make the experience as easy and relaxed as possible, while capturing beautiful, natural photographs filled with warmth, connection and a little Christmas magic.
What’s Included
Your Christmas Amongst the Trees Mini Session includes:
A relaxed 20–25 minute photography session amongst the Christmas trees. We’ll allow up to 30 minutes, including the short walk to and from our photography spot, so there’s no need to rush little legs.
3 professionally edited digital images of your choice, included in your £60 session fee.
A private online gallery where you can view your photographs and choose your favourites.
Additional Images & Gallery Upgrades
Once you've received your gallery, you'll have the option to upgrade:
Full gallery upgrade – £50
If you choose to upgrade to the full gallery, the total cost will be £110, including your £60 session fee.
What to expect on the day
Location & Arrival
Your Christmas Amongst the Trees Mini Session will take place at Duckswich Christmas Tree Farm, near Worcester.
To make finding us as easy as possible, I've included the exact parking location below, along with a map showing where to park, where to meet me and where our photographs may take place.

Please use these coordinates rather than relying on the Christmas tree farm's general address, as they'll take you directly to the correct parking area.
Where to Park & Meet
On the map below, you'll see:
Red X – Parking: Please park in the designated area marked on the map.
White X – Meeting Point: Once parked, make your way to the white X and wait here. I'll come and collect you at your booked session time.
Red Arrows – Photography Locations: These show our two possible photography spots amongst the Christmas trees.
I'll choose our photography location on the day based on the natural light and position of the sun, ensuring we make the most of the beautiful surroundings.
As the Christmas tree farm is quite big and there’s various fields, please wait at the designated meeting point rather than making your own way into the Christmas trees.
Arriving for Your Session
Please aim to arrive 5–10 minutes before your booked session time, allowing plenty of time to park and find our meeting point.
As sessions are booked back-to-back throughout the day, it's important that we start on time to ensure every family gets their full session.
Please be aware that if you arrive late, this will reduce your photography time, as I won't be able to extend your session beyond its scheduled finish time.
I'll meet you at the white X, and we'll take a short walk together to our photography spot.
I've allowed up to 30 minutes for each booking, including walking time, so there's no need to rush little legs!
Following Your Child's Lead
If your little one is feeling shy, unsure or simply needs a little time to warm up, please don't worry!
We'll keep things relaxed and playful, allowing them to explore and settle in at their own pace.
Above all, the aim is for everyone to enjoy spending time together, while I capture those genuine little moments that make your family special.
Weather
A little drizzle won't stop us! Sessions will still go ahead in light rain, and I'll have clear umbrellas available to keep everyone dry while adding a little extra charm to your photographs.
However, if the forecast is for persistent heavy rain, strong winds or weather that would make the experience uncomfortable, sessions will be rescheduled.
If we need to rearrange due to the weather, I'll be in touch to organise an alternative date.
How to Prepare for Your Session
What to Wear
Colours & Clothing
The Christmas setup will feature red accents, a cosy cream blanket and a rustic wooden stool, surrounded by beautiful green Christmas trees.
When choosing your outfits, I'd recommend colours that complement these surroundings.
A little pop of Christmas red, perhaps a scarf, hat or jumper on your little one, can look particularly lovely against the green trees. For the rest of the family, soft neutrals and complementary festive colours work beautifully together.
Here are a few suggestions to help you plan your outfits:
Soft, neutral colours such as cream, beige, ivory and warm browns.
Festive colours such as burgundy, Christmas red and forest green.
Natural textures such as chunky knitwear, wool, corduroy and denim.
Cosy layers including jumpers, cardigans, scarves and coats that complement your outfits.
Practical footwear such as boots or wellies, as the ground may be uneven or muddy.
You don't need to match! Instead, aim for colours that complement each other, creating a coordinated but natural look.
Things to Avoid
Large logos or text.
Neon or overly bright colours.
Busy or distracting patterns.
Very thin clothing that might leave little ones feeling cold.
Avoid bulky watches, and remember to empty your pockets of phones, keys and other items that might show through your clothing.
A Little Reminder
We'll be outdoors in November, so please dress for the weather.
Layers are your best friend, and a cosy jumper or lovely coat can look beautiful in photographs
The ground may be a little muddy, so choose footwear you're comfortable walking in.
Warm, happy children make for much more enjoyable photographs than cold ones in perfect outfits! Thermal layers underneath clothing are a great way to keep little ones warm without compromising their outfits.

What to Bring
A few small things can help keep everyone comfortable during our time amongst the trees.
Wipes – always useful with little ones!
Snacks – a small, non-messy snack can be handy if your child needs a little boost.
A comfort item – if your child has a favourite teddy or comforter, feel free to bring it along.
Warm layers – hats, gloves or an extra coat, depending on the weather.
A Little Note for Parents
Please don't worry about getting your children to behave perfectly or smile on command.
Some of my favourite photographs come from unexpected moments. The giggles, the cuddles, the silly faces often make for the best pictures.
There's no need to bribe or constantly correct your little ones. I'll guide you when needed, but otherwise, just enjoy spending time together and let me take care of the photographs.
The best moments often happen when you're simply being yourselves.
After Your Session
Your private online gallery will be delivered within 3 weeks of your session.
Your gallery will contain a selection of beautifully edited photographs for you to view and choose your favourites.
Your session includes 3 digital images of your choice, with the option to upgrade to your full gallery for an additional £50.
Galleries will remain open for 1 month from the delivery date, giving you plenty of time to view and select your images.
